My experience with cleaning up chrome is limited to a few, mostly newer, low quality bicycles. I was surprised that this forty year old bike polished up as well as it did. Comparing these two was the basis of my opinion. The bike looks better in the photo than it is in person. Thanks for the comments.

My goodnes the chrome on these things is thick and after 40 years polished up very nicely. The shell of the rear reflector needed to be painted.
