I had the BB faced down to 68mm, but an attempt to rethread to 24tpi mangled the drive-side threads, so I opted for the Velo Orange threadless BB with a 113mm spindle.

I'm not too sure to be honest as I didn't do it myself. The non drive-side rethreaded fine, but for some reason the drive-side didn't and wouldn't hold a cup when it was screwed in. After taking it out again, the threads were shot.

What was the tool used? Was it the process or the tool that mangled the shell.
