enfield_bullet~somewhere in the UK Wooden Stowaway Finally got my stowaway out of primer which it had been in for months. Completed the mudguards and chainguard and fitted this morning. I am never 'hydrodipping' a bike again - it's too much hard work! This was a tired old 1973 stowaway without a rear wheel I got for 10 from ebay. I got an X-RF8(w) hub for a good price, and that was the start. I brazed on fittings for v-brakes, and then rode for some months in primer before finally hydrodipping and clear coating as you see here. It rides beautifully and is very good fun & makes people laugh when they see it up close!
