"Stunning" by John L ~ UK
John L's love affair with the Twenty started in 1969, at age ten, a birthday gift from his parents; the bike did him proud up to and throughout his teenage years.
Now retired with plenty of time on his hands, his early love affair was rekindled and he looked for an identical Twenty with a pull-out rack, a twist grip, in bronze green and with squared decals. A likely machine was found on his first trawl of eBay. So five days and one-hundred-eighty miles later he picked up his find in the northern town of Blackburn, after parting with £65 (a bargain). He promised the seller a photo of the refurbished machine.
After just over a month and about thirty-six hours of dismantling, cleaning, de-greasing, re-greasing, sourcing bits from eBay, our forum members donating bits (a special thank-you for the fantastic saddle Tony!!!), technical repairs by his local bike shop and reassembling. He has a thing of real beauty, and smiles every time he sees this little gem, it?s like he?s complete again.
