Hmm... that could be a problem with my first wheel build.

Good, it makes it easier to access the valve stem.

I think the small wheels are harder to lace than the 630 size. I recently laced a high flange hub off a Schwinn 10 speed onto a 451 alloy rim. As the spokes come out of the hub they must be pushed toward the hub otherwise the hub starts to go haywire and is not centered in the rim on the vertical axis when the rim is in your lap. Even after lacing around 8 or 9 times it is still exasperating for me. Still took around 2 or 3 hours last time. First time it was 5 . Making slow progress and at least recycling my favorite hubs.

I've since re-laced the wheel and fixed that.
