Process to join the new stays to the old ones involved machining a chromoly sleeve which made the new stay and old stay act like lugs and makes for an extremely solid joint. The rack mounts came with the donor stays and have not been moved.

Seat post binder was also added to replace the stock clamp... rack mounts were already present on the stays and in the right place.

Chromoly rear stays were cannibalized from a wrecked Nishiki International touring bike, joined to the butts of the 20's rear stay by using a machined sleeve and then filet brazed as one would do with lugs.
