Chain stays were joined by using the original chainstay as a sleeve (it was a nearly perfect match) and we cleaned up some of the bad Welsh welding at the chainstay as well as the spotty looking welds under the bottom bracket although few will see this.

The chainstay bridge is threaded for a fender mount and the lower stop is for a bottom pull derailleur.

Chainstay and seatstay bridges were added and have threaded mounts for fenders.

Bottom bracket was re-threaded to 24 tpi many years ago and is still going strong, chainstays were attached to the stub of the original chain stay with a machined sleeve and then brazed. Cleaned up the sloppy Raleigh welds a bit too.
