Hello Kabs. Good question. I did have to do some work to avoid chain rub. The lower part of the RH seat stay has been significantly filed back, by almost half of its diameter, right through the wall of the tube. This was reinforced and filled by inserting a couple of pieces of stainless spoke, brazing up and filing flat. I re-spaced the rear end OLN to 135mm when I did the original frame mods and brazed in the new bridges. This has allowed me to fit a 146mm (mtb length) hub spindle and add a couple of mm spacing under the RH locknut. The wheel has been dished to suit. All of this has provided the necessary clearance to avoid any chain rub issues. All the gears are usable and everything works perfectly.

Are all the gears usable, the twenty had a problem with top gear and seatstay rub. Great job, makes me want to try some of your ideas. Should do a write up of the process and submit as an article so all can benefit.
