Seat tube extender
This is fabricated from a length of Reynolds 531 steel tube. The first version bent when ridden (tubing too light), so this one used a heavier gauge steel and has a boss brazed on the rear for a pair of tubular aluminium reinforcing struts. There's far too much flex without the struts. With the struts in place, it feels no more flexy that a conventional touring bike. Problem solved!
