I have been progressively converting to Look pedals because I find the delta cleats easier to use and more comfortable. But these would stick out like a sore thumb on the Pin!
The Shimano M324s at least offer the choice of clip-in or flat for casual trips to the shops - I have a pair of these on my Bike Friday. But this pair has a damaged bearing, and need a special tool, which I don't have, for servicing.
The classic cages came off the 1971 Falcon Eddy Merckx I rescued from a skip, so they are at least period authentic, and look better than the original rubbers. But I think these are the special lead axle version - they weigh a ton!
Finally, we have the Shimano PD-A520 touring pedals. No 'flat' option, but these are super light, and aesthetically consistent with the elegant lines of a modded Pin.
Thank you all for helping me with that decision!
