Nice ride...
It rides really nicely. I need to replace the front tyre as it's very cracked. I'll probably fit two black Raleigh Records, and I may fit black grips to match. The wheels could also do with a quick true and tension. I'll probably keep this as a hack - and for loan to visitors.

Hello Stevan,
Sorry, the bike isn't easy to get to at present, as some of my bikes are stored away from where I live. My advice would be to find a bike or frame that you can actually take to your decal maker as a pattern. My last Twenty complete bike cost £2.20, and I've had several others FOC, so you should be able to find a bike very cheap or even free to use as a reference. However, I would always advise against repainting. Restoration of the R20 isn't yet cost effective, as really clean and bright complete bikes can be had via eBay for less than £100. A decent respray and repro decals, not to mention stripping the bike and rebuilding, will cost more than that - and the bike will no longer be original. Original finish, even if scruffy, is always better than new paint. Sorry I can't be of more help than that. Good luck with the project.

Hi Dave,
I just saw your photo album of your 20 alpha. I have the same one, and am getting it resprayed. I would also like to get the original decals and have found a company that might be able to do them.
However, they need the exact measurements - i believe there are three decals/stickers (the alpha on the chain guard, the 20 logo on the seat tube and the Raleigh one on either side of the main frame tube). I would also need a clear picture of the "20 logo"sticker. Thanks for your help.
