Flush inner surface
A 10-speed Shimano cassette is being fitted to this frame. The lower (bullet shaped) section of the Raleigh Twenty RH seat stay protrudes inwards, beyond the inner drop-out surface. This has to be removed and made flush to provide the necessary chain clearance, The surface of the tube has been ground away using an angle grinder. The edge of the tube has been filed flat. The void in the tube has been filled by cutting a 3mm thick steel plate to fit accurately, and brazing it in.
