Latest incarnation, pic today on the way home. This bike is now my daily ride, about 7 miles each way along our seafront. Loads of salt air, wind, rain and sun and that's just today. Note re-attachment of mudguards, but not chainguard. This bike is very grubby, but tough as old boots!
melofelo says... Nice work. A very smart twenty and a great looking commuter.
melofelo (oh I get it - good name), thanks for kind comments. There is no theme here, just parts that I sourced cheaply, second hand, scrounged or had lying around, which is all part of the fun (innit?). I now partly regret not sticking with the patina, next time tho'. The bike is brilliant as is, takes everything thrown at it.
FYI the rack is a removable Topeak item, expensive new but worth it for the convenience, later on I might dismantle a topeak beamrack and fit (rivet?) the receiver part to a Pletscher item, and have the best of both worlds. I can clip my bag (actually one of two), to about three different bikes, without even transferring a beamrack. The Topeak luggage appears to be an item that comes up on ebay quite reasonably priced second hand.
This album exists because I created two by mistake. The first one exists because I wanted to contribute after lurking for ages, and wanted to stimulate some activity. I have been inspired by your and other's posts, and galleries, thanks. See you on the trail...
